Dr Kim Latendresse is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with an interest in hand, wrist, and elbow surgery operating at Nambour Selangor Private Hospital.

Dr Latendresse obtained his medical degree and specialist training in orthopaedic surgery in Canada. Following this training, he completed two Clinical Fellowships in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery: one year at the University of Western Ontario (Canada), and another year at Sydney Hospital and St. Luke’s Private Hospital (NSW). He moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2006 after four years as a consultant in one of Canada’s largest trauma centres. He has been a staff specialist at Nambour General Hospital for the last seven years, focusing on upper extremity surgery including trauma and reconstruction, in addition to providing on call coverage for general orthopaedic trauma.

Dr Latendresse holds Fellowships from both the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He has a passion for education and is the Discipline Academic Advisor (Orthopaedics) for the University of Queensland medical students at Nambour. He is a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association, and the current Director of Training for the Advanced Trainees in orthopaedics at Nambour General Hospital.
