Dr John Webster is a local full-time Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who is establishing the first dedicated multi-disciplinary TMJ team on the Sunshine Coast.
Dr Webster was born, raised and trained in Queensland and his expertise is in the management of facial trauma, third molars, dental implants, contemporary digital 3D planned orthognathic, cosmetic and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) surgery.
Dr Webster believes in continuous professional development and is currently completing further post-fellowship training in minimal access and minimally invasive management of TMJ dysfunction with world leading TMJ surgeons in New York. He has also completed advanced techniques in face and neck cosmetic surgery, next generation digital dental implant training including full arch and zygomatic implants and is keen to train dental practitioners toward placing and restoring dental implants with predictable successful results.
Dr Webster completed his Bachelor of Dental Science, Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, Bachelor of Business Management and Bachelor of Science at the University of Queensland. He undertook time in General Surgery before completing advanced Oral and Maxillofacial specialty training in Brisbane and Darwin. He has also completed a higher research degree investigating early detection of oral cancer and has collected numerous awards during his training including the George Christensen Memorial and J Owen Pearn Memorial Prizes.
Dr Webster takes great pride in providing a calm and reassuring bedside manner which allows him to clearly discuss diagnoses and treatment options to deliver customised, exceptional care to each patient.
Dr Webster offers Local Anaesthetic treatments at the practice and General Anaesthetic surgical procedures at Nambour Selangor and Sunshine Coast University Private Hospitals.
