Pre Admission
Our helpful pre-admission staff will phone you approximately 1-2 weeks before you are due to come to hospital to confirm your contact and health insurance details, and answer any questions you may have about your stay.
Depending on your level of private health insurance cover, an excess will be payable upon your admission to hospital.
It can be difficult to know what items you will need during your stay in hospital. To ensure you are adequately prepared, please refer to the list of suggested guidelines below:
- Sleepwear, gown, slippers
- Sufficient changes of clothes
- Personal toiletries (soap, tissues, pads, etc)
- Ballpoint pen
- Health insurance book/card
- Pension card / Health care card
- Pharmaceutical entitlement card / Safety net card
- Letter of referral
- Full details of Workers’ Compensation (approval letter) or Third Party Insurance
- Current x-rays associated with present illness
- Small change for incidentals
- All current medications in their original labeled bottles as dispensed from your chemist, including inhalers (puffers)
- All current medication prescriptions
- Mobility aids (eg. walking frame, stick)
- Reading Glasses / contact lenses
- Reading material
To avoid misplacing personal items, please do not bring any valuables or large sums of money to hospital with you. If requested, our nursing staff will store valuables in Administration for safekeeping. Nambour Selangor Private Hospital does not accept liability for loss of valuables unless they are officially lodged for safekeeping.
