Nambour Selangor Private Hospital is nestled within a tranquil, therapeutic bushland setting. The Hospital’s Maternity Service offers women and their families access to a comprehensive spectrum of maternity facilities, within an environment that offers true choice in childbirth.

The Centre’s three luxuriously appointed birthing suites are each equipped with their own large bath for women who choose to have a water birth or who use warm water immersion to manage pain during childbirth. A comfortably furnished waiting area is located within close proximity to the birthing suites for family members and friends.

The Maternity Service also has around-the-clock access to the Hospital’s operating theatre for patients requiring an emergency or planned caesarean section. Our anaesthetic services are also available as a 24-hour service.

To meet the individual needs of women and their families, Nambour Selangor Private Hospital offers a choice of accommodation options. The Hospital’s Maternity Service comprises 16 private rooms – each with their own ensuite facilities. Of these rooms, three are designated family rooms which are furnished with queen size beds.

Each room is decorated with comfortable, modern furnishings and is equipped with a private bedside telephone and television offering complimentary in-house movies and access to all free-to-air television stations.

Whilst we make every effort to meet your choice of accommodation, the unpredictable nature of birth means this can be difficult in periods of high occupancy. We ask for your understanding should your choice of accommodation be unavailable upon your admission.

Mothers, partners and family members are also welcome to use the Mothers’ Lounge – located within the ward.

For those babies requiring dedicated nursing care and medical attention, our six cot Level 2 Special Care Nursery is managed by specialist nursing staff and a team of experienced visiting paediatricians.

Tours
Choosing the birthplace of your baby is an important and complex process. At Nambour Selangor Private Hospital expectant parents are encouraged to meet our friendly, experienced staff and view our comprehensive facilities.

Group tours of Nambour Selangor Private Hospital’s Maternity Service are conducted on one Saturday morning each month or by appointment. Please phone 07 5459 7411 between

Maternity Service - Support Services

Nambour Selangor Private Hospital’s Maternity Service offers women and their partners a comprehensive range of antenatal and postnatal support services. Services are designed to ensure couples are well prepared for and informed during pregnancy and have adequate access to support services upon leaving hospital.
